In the foreground are some ‘rib cage’ beams, the last remnants of a shipwreck. I walked along the Princess Mary Promenade in Bridlington where prose is carved into to slab stones referencing the many shipwrecks along that coastline. I started writing down a few choice inscriptions and ended up writing most of them. The sea so fierce is also described as caressing/enfolding.
Here’s my first entry: 'Frank and Fred Brown my Bridlington boys, full fathom five thy father lies dragged into inchoate seas, those are pearls that were his eyes.'
